Sealed bids will be received by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority in the Administration Building, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville Florida 32218 until 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, February 11, 2010, at which time Bids shall be opened in the JAA 2nd Floor Conference Room, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, for:BUILDING 880 HVAC REPLACMENT This project is for the HVAC replacement in Building 880 at Cecil Field. It includes the demolition of an existing 60-ton air cooled chiller, boiler and air handling units. New work shall include direct expansion split systems and associated duct distribution. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held in the JAA second floor Conference Room Building 82, 13365 Aeronautical Circle, Cecil Field, at 10:00 AM local time, Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. Participation in the Owner's Small Business Enterprise Program is required. The goal for this contract is ten percent (10%) to be performed by certified SBE firms. This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 90 days. Submittals will be received by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) until 2:00 PM (Local Time), on February 2, 2010 from firms interested in submitting letters of interest to include statement of qualification and experience from qualified consultants to provide technical assistance in conducting a comprehensive assessment of the Authority’s job classification and compensation package, to include but not limited to review of job descriptions, employee salaries.
